What an amazing Week!

08.11.2009

Hi there!!!

Well, this has been an amazing week so far.  We’re almost done the basics of our site, added CMS capability, blogging and tweeting.  I understand this is easy for younger people than us, so, we’re pretty pleased about the progress!

Anyway, we found some amazing companies to work with in Canada so far. We are looking for any deals that are out there for people in all categories, like Cars, Electronic, finances, Food, Groceries, Fuel, transportation, Trips, Clothing…ALL the things everyone needs.  So, if you have some amazing tips to share, let us know.!!!

For all of you people in Business, check out the best program the Government of Canada has going for CCPC’s (Canadian Controlled Private Corporations)

It’s the SRED program! If you need more information, check out www.auroraresearch.net.

We are looking for little known DEALS for everyone to access, to save you money.  Have a great Week!

Companies - Building our Base / Useful Information coming...

08.07.2009

Hello there!

We started looking at different companies over the last few days, who might be interested and how they might be helpful to people that would want to utilize a service to bring them their rebate information. We are confident that in this period of economic upheaval, these companies will be able to make offers for the Rebates.NET community that will end up being online.  Lots to do, Lots to do…Thankfully, Lots to Do!

We will be posting Canadian Government Websites next week (since we are in Canada) to give people some direction on where to go for certain things in the economic uncertainty period we are all in. The Canadian Government has many programs that are out there, however, some are so well hidden ( not intentionally of course ) that people just don’t get to see them or utilize them. There is so much its actually very overwhelming, however, that’s a good thing.

Have a great weekend

We are finally started - only took 13 years!

08.05.2009

Our first Blog post, hopefully one of many positive posts to get out there!

Rebates.NET has been simmering on the back burner for a long time, since 1996 if you can imagine that.  We’ve had many false starts, however, this time is different.  People have told us we have the patience of Job. If you all knew the stories about how Rebates.NET came to ALMOST be in 2001, with Rogers Media in Canada,  you would wonder why we didn’t sell it over the last number of years.  Over time, we’ll reveal that story and the interesting spinoffs and others that attempted to actually do what we will now do.  We’ve approached many venture capital funds and people to assist us with our dream, since at the time we did not have the funds to complete what we feel in our gut to be a service that so many people and companies can use. In this time of economic uncertainty, we just believe it’s the right thing to do.

Over the next few months and years, the rebates.NET website, database, proprietary systems, twitter tweets, blog, facebook pages and all forms of social media will develop.

We are looking for feedback on what you, the public,  and you the manufacturers, retailers and all vendors are looking for in a service to help everyone properly distribute and redeem rebates.  We have ideas of our own of course, and will be working to integrate these into the Rebates.NET site, however, a million heads are better than some!!!

Send us your ideas on what you want rebates to be to you.  Send us your ideas on how you would like to redeem rebates! Let us know your challenges in redeeming rebates and how it could have been done better.  Let us know the companies you love to deal with, because we are looking to get the right setup the first time around.  We won’t publish anything negative, we are working towards a very positive blog.  If you have negative comments, that’s o.k., we will moderate the blog and post the positive parts.

Thanks for your patience in waiting for us to deliver what we are working towards making a rewarding service for us all!!! Rebates.NET.
